We are excited this time to have our steel pan drummer join us for this Caribbean themed company party held in Maryland. We showcased our samba, soca and dancehall while teaching the cha cha and salsa. Some audience members even tried hoop dancing!

Cinco de Mayo Fiesta at Turcuisine Restaurant
DC Hippodrome is performing at Turcuisine Restaurant in Herndon, VA in celebration of cinco de mayo Thursday, May 5, 2011.
We’ve had very successful and energy packed shows at Turcuisine lately as well as presentations of our Fiesta elsewhere. I hope people get a chance to come out and see the show. It is nothing like you’ve ever seen!

Caribana Fete at MICA 2011
DC Hippodrome is gearing up for a Fiesta extravaganza once again. This time in Baltimore (Kinikia’s old stomping grounds) for a full show featuring reggae artists, facepainters, stilt walkers and more!
Our show will begin at 4:15 PM for Maryland Institute College of Arts’ Caribana Fete. Dances will include cha cha, salsa and samba dances plus a few extras and as always will be interactive!

Taste of the Tropics Show at Martin’s Crosswinds
We are excited for tomorrow night’s “Taste of the Tropics” program at Martin’s Crosswinds, a truly popular and crowd pleasing program we started offering since the end of last year. It has been a hit at all events performed as with all our programs. What makes it super exciting is we pack it with our Hawaiiana dances from the Polynesian islands then take you through the Latin and Caribbean countries for a complete beach and tropical atmostpheric show. This program is great for any high impact effect whether the event has a Hawaiian theme, Caribbean theme or no theme at all and just needs some high energy evoking entertainment.
